How long does it take to get a CA state ID (from the DMV) after a name change? - after name change
I've heard it takes 1-2 weeks for a DMV ID card will state if you have never had before. If you are a pre-court and make a change of name (order), it takes longer to get a replacement? How long does it take?
I'm trying to decide whether to advance a personal ID and then change my name or whether they wait until I have my name, my ID card will, change.

When I mean it took a week and a half. Change your name before a new ID to avoid that go through the process twice.

he preferred to wait until you changed your name and get a new map of social security.
otherwise we will end up paying for ID twice.
